ππΏ The Promises We Make To You as Ethical Estate Agents πΏπ
β±οΈ 3-minute read
We are proud members of the Ethical Agent Network. It is not a badge that can be bought. It is something that has to be earned and maintained.
The network brings together independent estate and letting agents who agree to meet a clear set of professional and ethical standards. Membership can be removed if those standards slip. That keeps expectations high and accountability real.
At the centre of the network are seven promises. These are not marketing lines. They shape how we work every day with homeowners, buyers, landlords, and tenants across the local area.
π€ Acting in clientsβ best interests
This is the foundation of everything we do. Advice, pricing, negotiation, and communication are guided by what supports the strongest outcome, not what is quickest or easiest.
π£οΈ Being honest, even when conversations are difficult
Clear advice matters. Honest feedback on price, presentation, and buyer expectations helps decisions stay realistic and informed from the start.
βοΈ Doing the right thing, even when it costs us
Ethical choices are not always the most convenient ones. They are still the right ones to make, and they build trust that lasts beyond a single move.
π£ Treating other agents with respect
Professional standards improve when agents focus on raising their own service rather than criticising others. A stronger industry benefits everyone involved in a move.
π Working collaboratively across the network
Members share experience, ideas, and support with each other. That cooperation helps raise service levels and keeps independent agencies strong in their communities.
π Committing to continuous improvement
Training, learning, and adapting are part of staying effective in a changing market. Clients benefit when service keeps moving forward rather than standing still.
ποΈ Supporting the local community
Being part of a community means more than operating within it. Ethical agents are expected to contribute in meaningful ways and stay actively involved throughout the year.
So what does it take to become a member?
Joining the Ethical Agent Network involves more than agreeing with its principles. Applicants must show a strong track record of client service, including at least 50 Google reviews averaging 4.3 or higher. There must also be clear evidence of ongoing community involvement.
Each agency is then interviewed by an advisory panel made up of respected independent agents from across the country. Only one agent per area is accepted into the network.
Why this matters when choosing an estate agent
Selling or letting a property involves trust. Ethical Agent Network membership shows that an agency has already been assessed against standards that go beyond the basics and has made a public commitment to maintain them.
We are proud to represent the network locally and to keep those promises at the centre of how we work every day.
If a move is being planned this year, a conversation with an ethical agent is a good place to begin. πΏ
