Moving home can be expensive, and removal costs can take up a big slice of your budget. The good news is there are plenty of simple ways to keep the cost down.

1. 📅 Start planning as early as you can. Last-minute bookings usually cost more, and by planning ahead you’ll have more choice on dates, times, and services.
2. 🧹 Have a clear out before you move. There’s no sense paying to transport things you don’t need in your new home. Sell items online, donate to charity, or pass them on to friends and family.
3. 📦 Always get several quotes. Ask at least three removal firms and, where possible, request in-person visits so the quotes are accurate. Once you have them, see if others will beat the lowest price. Don’t forget to check out local “man with a van” services too.
