📞 How ‘Available’ is Your Estate Agent? 📞
⏱️ 3-minute read
Everyone in our team has bought or sold a home at some point. That experience still shapes how we work today. It means the process is not just something we manage professionally. It is something we understand personally.
One frustration came up again and again during those moves (apart from Charlotte who bought her house from us before she started working!). Getting hold of the right person at the right time was often harder than expected. Calls went unanswered. Messages sat waiting. Updates arrived days later. When a chain depends on several people staying informed, delays like that quickly create stress and uncertainty.
When we opened our office in August 2018, communication was one of the first things we focused on.
That commitment has not changed. If anything, it has become stronger.
📱 Direct Contact Still Matters
Mobile numbers remain part of how we work because quick access makes a real difference during a move. Questions rarely arrive at convenient times, and progress in a chain does not wait for office hours.
Clear communication helps decisions happen faster and keeps momentum moving.
🕔 Longer Opening Hours Make a Difference
Our office stays open until 17:30 on weekdays and remains open on Saturdays as well. That gives more opportunities for conversations that would otherwise be delayed.
Property decisions often happen outside the traditional nine-to-five window. Being available when updates are needed keeps things moving.
💬 WhatsApp Groups Keep Everyone Aligned
We run dedicated WhatsApp groups for many homeowners and buyers. These groups allow updates to be shared quickly between the right people at the right time.
This week alone, those groups were used more than 70 times to move conversations forward, answer questions and keep chains progressing.
That level of contact would not have been possible a few years ago.
🏢 A Local Office Still Plays an Important Role
Although technology helps speed things up, face-to-face conversations remain important. Many people still prefer dropping into the office to talk through progress, ask questions or arrange the next step.
Trust builds faster when there is a real place to visit and a team that is easy to reach.
Communication is one of the simplest parts of moving home to get right. It is also one of the most important. Keeping people informed, available and connected helps reduce uncertainty and keeps transactions on track from start to finish.
Our approach today is built on the same idea we started with in 2018. Stay reachable. Stay responsive. Keep conversations moving.
