⭐ Why Genuine Reviews Matter More Than Ever

Reviews play a huge part in moving home. They help buyers and sellers see how an estate agent really works, beyond the photos and the listings. At Leightons, we now have over 250 reviews across Google and other platforms, and every single one of them is genuine.
Take this recent one as an example:
“Five stars but would give ten if it was possible. I recently had a pleasure to be dealing with Leightons when purchasing a home and my experience was very positive. Most contact I had was with Helen who is amazing at her job and very dedicated and informative, she was constantly 3 steps ahead of everyone else and was on the phone or email with an answer before I could even ask the question. Having said all that even if I only had a little dealings with the rest of the staff I could sense the same level of commitment from Michael, Emma and Charlotte so thank you team for all your hard work and for making all the process very easy. You all should be very proud of the work you do as you are all amazing and if I ever have look for an Estate Agent in the future you guys will definitely be the first place I would come to. 10 stars out of 5.”
It’s detailed, it’s personal, and it names the team members involved. That’s what a genuine review looks like.
Today, someone actually called into our office offering a “quick and easy” review service. By scanning a QR code, he said, we could get more reviews — and he even offered to leave us one himself. The problem? He’s never bought or sold through us. He doesn’t know what we do. How can that be a real review?
That’s not how we work. We don’t scratch backs for reviews, we don’t buy them, and we don’t accept them from people who haven’t experienced our service. Every review we have comes from a buyer or seller who has gone through the process with us, start to finish.
Not bought.
Not swapped.
Not fake.
GENUINE.
So when reading reviews, whether for an estate agent or any other business, look carefully. Real reviews are specific. They mention names, moments, and details that only a genuine customer would know.
